red hill lofts
Red Hill Lofts redefines community living in Carbondale, Colorado. This workforce housing community comprises 30 units, strategically designed to address the critical need for affordable housing. With a commitment to inclusivity, the project outlines rent restrictions, allocating 12 units at an affordable 30% Area Median Income (AMI) and 18 units at 50% AMI. This intentional distribution aims to provide housing solutions for the most underserved members of our community, fostering a sense of belonging and accessibility for all. Red Hill Lofts is not merely a residential project; it's a transformative initiative aimed at creating a more equitable and vibrant community for everyone.
Beyond the interior living spaces, residents can enjoy outdoor features such as common areas with seating, outdoor grills, a common toy storage building, and individual decks and patios. The 1.28-acre parcel is thoughtfully designed to include green space adjacent to outdoor living areas. Native and low water using trees, shrubs, perennials, and grasses temper heat island effects and attract birds and beneficial insects.
Red Hill Lofts embraces sustainable design principles to ensure convenient access to transit, amenities, services, and employers through walking and biking. The design includes trail connections to the nearby RFTA BRT stop and Rio Grande Trail. Adhering to Enterprise Green Communities standards, the project boasts a high development density of 26 units per acre. The commitment to sustainability is further demonstrated with Energy Star Appliances, water-conserving fixtures, high-performing insulation, and windows, and a photovoltaic, 100% electric design. Collectively, these features contribute to an environmentally conscious and forward-thinking residential development at Red Hill Lofts.
